Grades Online
If your 2nd quarter grade is higher than your semester grade, your 2nd quarter is improving your semester grade over 1st quarter. If, however, your semester grade is higher than your 2nd quarter grade, your 2nd quarter grade is dragging your semester grade down. Only your semester grades are recorded on your high school transcript, not quarter grades.

54 Receptive Skills and Expressive Skills:
In ASL, there are two different kinds of skills. There are "expressive skills", which is how well you can sign clearly to get your point across. There are also "receptive skills", which is how well you can understand what other people sign to you. Many people tend to be stronger in one or the other rather than being equally strong in both. In spoken languages such as Spanish or Norwegian, these skills are called "listening comprehension skills" and "speaking skills".
1) Which of the two ASL skills, receptive or expressive, do you think is the ASL equivalent to "listening comprehension" in spoken languages?
2) Which of the two ASL skills, receptive or expressive, do you think is the ASL equivalent to "speaking" in spoken languages?
3) Click here to find out your learning style(s). What is your learning style(s), visual, auditory, or kinesthetic (tactile)?
4) How do you think your learning style(s) influences which skill, receptive or expressive, you are better at?
